That isn't the whole poem; it's only part of it. I'm not sure if it's too late now, but here is the full version of the poem:

I'm pretty sure that the poem was written by Lois Duncan, because it was in the book "Killing Mr. Griffin". And because Lois Duncan is the author of the book, I natuarally believe that she is also the author of the poem.
